Dear fellow artists,
My name is Cecilia Murray, and I own the Cecil Byrne Gallery in Charleston, South Carolina. The gallery is home to several well known pastel artists, such as Liz Haywood-Sullivan, Mike Beeman, Jeanne Rosier Smith, and Alain Picard.
I'd like to share with you that I'm hosting a wonderful studio landscape workshop with acclaimed artist Alain Picard.
The workshop will be held on the second floor of the gallery at 140 East Bay Street, with ample room and natural light. Limited to 18 students, it will run from Thurs - Sat, January 19 - 21, 2017, from 9:30 - 4:30 pm each day. You will be able to leave your easels and materials in the gallery each evening. $375 per student.
Please don't hesitate to call with any questions. The gallery phone is 843-312-1891. I am a pastel artist as well, so I'm happy to help! I am hoping to plan some time with artists who arrive early to tour some of the wonderful galleries that Charleston has to offer. We were just named #1 city in the world by Conde Nast Traveler Magazine. Hotel rates are quite reasonable in January, and there are seats available in the best restaurants, so it's a great time to come visit!
The suggested materials list from Alain Picard will be sent after you register.
I'll attach the full information below, and here is a link to the workshop on the gallery website:
Please kindly share this with the artists in your pastel society who might be interested.
